Help with boost pipe, intercooler bottom left
Last Poster: xcb789 in How to Guides / Troubleshooting on Today at 10:46:53 am
Hi, I have what seems to be a common problem with the bottom left boost pipe from the intercooler popping off all the time, I’ve tried a couple self tappers and a file to make new tabs, it fits in tight but for some reason after a few days it pops off. Even when it’s on there does sound like there could be a leak from the drivers side of the car. Are there any tips for this,

Hi Folks, hope its ok to post about the GT Sport diesel 170 hp variant?
I have a trusty Mk5 VW 170 Tdi Sport that has covered a largely very uneventful 229k miles due to regular oil changes every 5k miles. Unfortunately the car has started to cut out / misfire (kangaroo) if the engine is revved above 2300 RPM approximately hence i'#039m wondering what the common cause may b

There will be once you have removed the parts that have to come off like the driveshafts (strut can be worked around, battery off with mounts) etc
Highly recommend an engine mount as it will need to be lowered and tilted a little to twist slide the box off........getting the box back on was the hardest

So i traded my car in but removed a few things. Bottle opener divider, ABR bushes, solid rear discs, window shades, dv valve and adapter to make vent to atmosphere, rear under chair led loom, kenwood DVB-T system, OEM number plate lights, used osram h15 bulbs, those weird push on plastic trim clips.
I'#039ve posted on ebay, but no watchers :(

MOT has picked up the centre box on the exhaust has started to fail at the weld, so decision is either to just source a second hand centre box and fit it OR new exhuast to make more fasts!
Question is are Miltek still the people to use or are they some other slightly cheaper alternatives about?
if I go with a 3"quot catback would I need an adaptor to go from the

Re: How Much Does Wheel and Tyre Affect Ride Comfort

Depends a lot on your shocks actually. On my backup Jetta I have KYB shocks, stock springs and 16"quot wheels and lemme tell you, my 18"quot wheels on Bilstein B4'#039s and Eibach black springs are sometimes more comfortable. So while the tire size plays a huge part, dont neglect your shocks. IIRC think you have Sachs which should be much softer than the KYB so you'#039ll probably be fine. Won
